Advanced Running Gait Analysis & Performance Optimisation
This appointment is designed for runners who want a deeper understanding of how they run—and how to run more efficiently, resiliently, and with less injury risk.
Using advanced video gait analysis technology, combined with individualised strength and movement testing, we assess how your body functions as a whole during running. Rather than simply commenting on foot strike or cadence, we identify meaningful discrepancies in load management, control, symmetry, and force production that may be limiting performance or contributing to pain or recurring niggles.
You’ll receive a comprehensive, easy-to-understand report that highlights:
- Key gait characteristics and inefficiencies
- Strength, control, or mobility factors influencing your running mechanics
- Areas of increased injury risk or performance leakage
Most importantly, this session goes beyond analysis. You will leave with a clear, actionable optimisation plan, tailored specifically to you, which may include:
Our approach is evidence-based, runner-specific, and clinically led—focusing only on changes that matter and avoiding unnecessary over-correction. Whether your goal is to run pain-free, return from injury, or unlock performance gains, this assessment provides a structured, objective foundation to move forward with confidence.
Suitable for recreational, competitive, and returning-to-running athletes
Women's Health Appointments
Women’s Health Physiotherapy provides specialist assessment and treatment for conditions affecting the pelvic floor, core, and wider musculoskeletal system—at all stages of life.
These appointments are designed to support women experiencing symptoms such as pelvic floor dysfunction, bladder or bowel concerns, prolapse symptoms, pelvic pain, pregnancy-related discomfort, postnatal recovery, or changes associated with peri-menopause and menopause. We also work with women who want to return to exercise or sport with confidence, particularly following pregnancy or abdominal surgery.
Our approach is individual, evidence-based, and holistic. We take time to listen carefully to your concerns and understand how your symptoms affect your daily life, movement, and wellbeing. Assessment may include postural, breathing, abdominal, and pelvic floor evaluation, alongside movement and functional testing where appropriate. Internal examination is only undertaken with your full consent and is never compulsory.
Treatment is tailored to you and may include:
- Pelvic floor rehabilitation and coordination training
- Core and load-management strategies
- Manual therapy where appropriate
- Education around bladder, bowel, and pelvic health
- Guidance for safe return to exercise, running, or strength training
We focus on empowering you with understanding and practical strategies, not just treating symptoms. Our aim is to help you feel stronger, more confident, and in control of your body, using a supportive and respectful approach throughout.
Appointments are suitable whether you are newly experiencing symptoms, have been managing them for some time, or simply want reassurance and guidance.
